I finished the powerpoint today. 60 slides. that's all. a nice even number. lots of pretty slides.

not too many words. that's not nice. they come to hear a talk. not read a book.

I know I'm not ready yet though. I need to make a plan.

here's my plan

monday- read through my entire dissertation and try to be as cruel to myself as possible (not a problem) and try to figure out what the weakest parts are. what they will pick up on. what I'm concealing, what I shine the spotlight on and why

tuesday. reread all of my literature review notes, and write 3 new ones. one on a paper I never really read, but SHOULD HAVE. one on a paper recently written by (a student of) someone on my comittee. one on a paper I've read a dozen times and forgotten a dozen times.

Also, I'm going to give the powerpoint lecture to my cat. I hope he likes it

Wednesday I have a practice run in lab meeting. (BARF)

Thursday. Thursday Thursday.

Ijust want it to be over. but actually thursday means more work. I will need to do all the crap they want me to do. but but but... my mind hates changing my writing. I'd rather burn it than reconsider it.

that's my thoughts for today.

I'm feeling queasy already...
