I don't want to compete. I don't know that I can get my body into good enough shape to compete without injuring it. I have to work really hard with just the bar to get my glutes firing before my lumbar erectors and if that doesn't happen then I get injured.
If people let me alone I can work out the best my body can do. Which will never look perfect because I don't have enough ankle flexability. I still don't know why not. The physical hardware isn't preventing the movement, best I can tell from my x-rays / scans. There is tibia / fibula distal syn... I forget. Fusion. But this shouldn't have anything to do with ankle dorsiflexion -- right?
Wrong, I guess. I guess that's wrong. But that's just one of them and doesn't explain the other one.
I haven't found an orthopedic book worth reading, honestly.
Half the time the words directly conflict with the pictures.
Anyway...
