I am blessed to have three good friends who have given me a sense of connection and caring. I credit one friend in particular with preventing me from committing suicide. I have been in a difficult and painful place recently.
Have you reached out to your friends when you are in a bad place? What thoughts plague you most? Right now, I am having difficulties accepting my age and the years that were stolen from me. I always thought that I had a long life ahead of me with enough time to find the right treatment and live happily ever after. I have crossed the threshold. I no longer have that many years ahead of me. The word "career" never made sense to me. Most of the people I grew up with had successful careers. Many of them have built up enough wealth to retire and move to Florida. It is depressing.
