The dopey feeling mostly depends on the strain you use. There are great Indica strains that knock anxiety right down - and put me on the coach.
I seem to do best with edibles (I make my own) because of the overall body relaxation. I also use a personal vaping pen and oil, which I buy....the battery pens are up to $45 and the cartridges of oil are about $30 or less.Prices are rather high, but my quality of life has improved greatly.
