I promise you, the body spray does not cover up the smell. I can smell smokers several feet away. Smokers stink. They stink up their clothes, their cars, their rooms. And, you know, its bad, bad, bad for you. OK. You won't die of cancer or emphysema or COPD this year, but you will eventually. And, even if you quit several years from now, every year you smoke reduces your lifespan.
If destroying your lungs over time isn't sufficient incentive to quit, just consider that you stink, you are a social pariah, you are spending tons of money and enriching tobacco companies. And on and on.
I have students come to my office or talk after class and I can tell immediately when they are smokers. I harangue them. For whatever good it does.
If you feel the need for nicotine, then use e-cigs. With e-cigs, unlike with gum or patches, you get that immediate nicotine rush. You also get, if this is important to you, that hand-to-mouth behavior that is so strongly associated with the nicotine rush.
Stop. Do yourself this favor.
