Ten minute poem

Posted by Phil on October 18, 2013, at 9:21:49

The room stands still
I'm not falling
I didn't know
It could rain so much

And your promises
Are meaningless to me.

And the room stands still

In the coming winter
It really doesn't matter
I put on
My coat and hat

And walk down a side street
No light to guide me
And they walk towards me
Maybe they will hurt me

But I walk right through them
It's just another vision
My life of indecision
A mind in division

I wake up on the floor

There's blood everywhere
But I'm not bleeding
And where it came from
Is just another vision

And the room stands still.

I see my doctor
Phil, how are you doing
Oh, great, you know, good
I mean, the drugs are really working

I touch his arm when leaving
To see if he's really there.

The room stands still.

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.
Albert Einstein
