Depends what you mean by 'happy'. Sorry... But it does.
Life is not one continuous hit of methamphetamine, that is for sure... But I have moments of happiness.
Someone said that if you ask that you are happy - then you are not. I think the idea is that happiness is to be found in the moment... The moments where you aren't wondering whether you are happy.
Like the high from methamphetamine isn't found in the wondering whether the drug has kicked in.
Moments when I realize and KNOW I'm happy are fairly rare.
More... I'm learning (slowly) to appreciate certain aspects. For instance... I had a quiet few days here at home. The peace... Is relaxing for me. I feel some kind of happy from that. I'm looking forward to spending a few hours in the library in the city tomorrow. I feel some kind of happy from that. I'm actually sorta hungry now and I think I have enough eggs... That makes me happy. Out of coffee... Not so happy.. Bit of a hike to the shops... Can get into the spirit of sort of enjoying that. Pretty f*ck*ng stoked I have the money to actually buy coffee. Oh yes indeed.
Is that happiness?
I could tell you the 'things that piss me off or otherwise annoy or anger me' tale.
They are superimposed, really.
