Dinah I'd venture to say that the hip could be related to early onset arthritis and staying mobile reduces the pain. As for muscle. There has to be some more. Why are you not giving yourself credit for the positive effects? It just seems that you are not doing it for you as you stated your family and walking? Phillipa
