An 8 year old is mostly unable to grasp new abstractions... By age 15, they can be fully fledged to reason in 3 dimensions, dream in color, draw true perspective and retain the significance of abstractions; a whole lot more skills, abilities and attributes arrive than just pubic hair and a deeper voice... Sadly, I find that in our busy world no one trumpets this "genetic mutation" as being important; its dreadfully important; its our whole future from age 15...
