I don't believe democracy is working all that well, but it seems to be the best system we have so far. It's just that I really don't think most people know what will result in the best outcome for everyone. It's just way too complex and most people aren't experts. We're all way too emotional and easily influenced by propaganda and advertising.
I think the best system would be some sort of benevolent dictatorship, but then I'm sure that wouldn't work out well either because it's kind of human nature to become corrupt with power. Also it is pretty much impossible for one person to make everyone happy.
I'm not really sure what would be best, I'm tending towards benevolent dictatorship by artifical intelligence. LOL
