> I unfortunately,do not live near the ocean. Its a dream of my husband and mine to sell everything once our son graduates college. Then we'd love to move twd ocean,on the east coast.I do remember as a child, feeling such euphoria as I ran twd the beach and jumped into the waves.I also am very concernd about the fuel in this ship.Im alwys devastated when I hear of the ocean being ravaged by oil,or pollution of any type.I had never heard of the island where the ship is,but I want to learn more about it.
Francesco Schettino said on Facebook that he wanted to greet the island. And he did! (actually some kind of black humor). Tragically the tradition and practice of Italian people to communicate very extensively has possibly lead to some extent to that accident.
I can imagine that the long coast in oregon and the east coast must be marvelous.
