10derheart, with the poles and the right shoes, you could be happily amazed. Wouldn't that be great?
I can't link, (I'm on a phone) but will tell you what to goggle.
I bought mine from REI online. Many places seemed out.
Leki brand
Diva (Shiva) Aergon anti-shock model.
They have corklight handles and regular
grip locks. There are speed locking (Flicl locks?) systems, but these were already
past my budget. The Diva is proportioned to fit a woman, esp the grip, which I now realize is important. I am also glad I bumped up to the cork blend grips.
Is their an REI by you? You can try them
and let them talk your ear off :-) in a nice way.
Good luck! Will you tell me if you buy a
pair and which ones?P.S
I cannot believe the difference it made for me. I would not have made the hike at all. And I had little pain afterwards,
except my aching triceps :-) but that was
very healthy pain.
Yahoo 10derheart! Get adjustables--not one piece sticks. (2¢ worth.) The Keli anti-shock system is around in my limited experience. Not spongy or soft. So maybe the Leki shock system is good
all around?
