on doing stupid things.....

for a relatively "intelligent" person, I have done some incredibly stupid things
the sort of things that make you feel that horrible surge of embarrassment and regret

sometimes I wake up from bad dreams and am relieved to find out they weren't true even though they felt so real

I'm afraid there's no escaping this one
I was not thinking...at all, and I was not dreaming, though it feels like I was
stupid, stupid, stupid
and selfish, selfish, selfish

ugh, I hate it
