What is With this Deep Freeze All over Country

Okay as a former Yankee can take the cold but NC in the teens? And I've still been trying to bike ride in this cold at night and can't take it any more. Y is too expensive. So you hearty ones from cold areas what do you do to occupy yourselves and excercise? And is it colder for you this year? I thought Global warming not Global freezing? Phillipa
