I just wanted to post how great animals are when you're dealing with depression. My cat just stole my yarn as I'm trying to learn how to knit. She's annoying but I don't know what I'd do without her. I'd rather have a dog as I think they're more sensitive to feelings and comforting for me, but I'm too depressed to walk it and take care of it right now. The cat is the 2nd best. She's actually a foster cat from the humane society but I think I'm about to adopt her. I've had her since February. I volunteer with the humane society. I'm going to a nursing home today to help the humane society take the animals there for the residents to interact with. I hope it helps some of them with their depression too. Does anyone else have animals that help them through their depression?
