I think that is a little harsh since people here are suffering and are bound to be 'negative'. Your comment made me feel like unless I had something upbeat to say, some solution to someones problems or a positive experience to share, I was chasing people (you) away with my 'negativity'. I feel that currently I must be the most negative person on the board (although I really try to hold back) and your comment made me feel really bad about posting (although i know it was not personal). Still......
This is the only place some of us have to share our medical problems with others who have been 'there' too and who understand drugs/side effects and general frustrations with treatment and pdocs.

>I love my p-doc and don't think he's an idiot or a fool. I feel he's gone above and beyond to try to keep me alive and find something that would work for me.

I am one of those who keeps complaining about their pdoc -I may not start a tread on it but it will come out in all my posts. That's because he IS an idiot and also really negligent. If he was in the US he would have had his license revoked, I'm sure.
But you know what, he's the best that's available to me, here and now. I don't have a choice. We are not all lucky enough to land a pdoc who really wants to help us (and is capable of doing so). Which is why I guess we are all here, picking each others brains and sharing experiences. I think that's a very positive step people are taking- trying to help themselves better. And also trying to 'educate' our pdocs (by sharing the info we gather here), so they can treat us better

> Some people are really helped by psychiatrists and psychiatric drugs. Some people have good therapists who really help them. I'm one of the lucky ones, I guess.

Yes, indeed I think you are. Very lucky! But not all of us here are, sadly. i feel people here are largely realistic in their approach to dealing with their med problems and are looking for solutions/answers and sometimes just understanding. I don't think anyone is indulging in 'negativity' for fun.

Maybe there should be a separate board for people who are feeling hopeless....or negative

Well, I wish you the best and I hope you stay well
Take care
Love
