The night and morning before I blew 6 days of sobriety, I had watched the 2 hour National Geographic documentary, written two senators and a congressman several emails about health care and other issues. I also spent hours researching lawnmowers and still wasn't sure when I ordered one online.
I can't handle the news or even past news: it only agitates me. Whenever I have lengthy periods of sobriety, I program out all the news channels on my TV remote. In fact, I can't even watch the history or animal planet channels. History is old news and animal planet mostly shows animals killing other animals.
I guess I shouldn't care about matters I can do nothing about. Geez, I'm hungover. The serenity prayer would be better.
I'll join PETA when animals start behaving ethically towards us and other animals. Are cats "fair"? I don't even think my lawn is being fair.
