I'm currently in the process of returning to the world of full-time work after a pretty intense six-month depression.
It's a perfect situation for easing myself back in, as it's a small business owned by a friend and I already know many of my co-workers socially. However, I still felt a little nervous about people judging me because I'm pretty open about my depression.
So I was somewhat heartened today to learn that - of a workforce of only about 10 - THREE others are also currently living with mental health issues! One woman is medicated for depression and addiction issues, another has been suffering depression and suicidal thoughts, and a third has OCD!
What are the odds?!
They are all people with unique talents and strengths too, which underlines what I've often thought about people with our afflictions.
