Favorite gadgets?

Posted by Dinah on February 11, 2009, at 11:34:31

Any gadget lovers out there?

My family knows that if I visit an office supply store, or a kitchen supply store, or linen store, or home supply store, or even an electronics store, that they can expect me to be gone for hours. I've been known to spend an hour looking at cabinet knobs alone, when I wasn't even planning to buy any.

There are the well known gadgets. Tape dispensers, eye masks. But what are your favorite less well known gadgets?

I love my disposable razor with the soap built in. I don't think I've had a nick or scratch in ages, even though I still use extra soap.

I love my eyeglass holder that stands up on its own and is full of furry stuff. I keep it at my bedside, and put my glasses in at night. No more fumbling for glasses or expensive knocking glasses to the floor.

My paperclip holder is wonderful. Even after a year, I am tickled by the fact that I don't need to sift through a bunch of paper clips to find the size or type I want. Three roomy cups that swivel around a central pole and take up little more room than a coffee cup. I don't think I'll ever lose my wonder with this.

And I just found a combination holder for extra toilet paper rolls and current kleenex! What a *great* use of otherwise useless space!

The paint roller with the shield built in seems like such a little thing. But I'm a messy painter at best, and before that gadget, I'd be covered from hair to toes with little speckles of paint.

Who needs expensive stuff when these little gadgets bring such joy?
