When we are experiencing depression or anxiety we are looking inward and that makes it hard to experience the infinite. Practice on quieting your mind and you will begin to experience the infinite. I think some do not understand Christ's message. He meant that we are part of god and god is in everything. Heaven is on earth and everywhere.
