Ya, Kath, the very first thought that came to mind as I stepped outside yesterday was concern for homeless people. I sure hope that nobody got stuck out there.
My second thought was squeaky snow. I hate walking on squeaky snow. It is second only to fingernails on a blackboard for me.
On the other hand, the extensive cold is making for a good ice road season. Last year's sucked, and they ended up having to fly in fuel and food and such to many remote communities, at exorbitant expense. This year, everything should go very smoothly.
