You are correct. Failing a class will not result in the world stopping on its axis.
I have long since stopped being an official student. I have, however, gone recently thru a time of having to study some material that did not bowl me over with excitement and interest. Hence, I waited until close to a last minute push. That's not normally my way of operating. It did not feel good.
Time mangement is opportunity mangement.
Failing won't end anything but the responsibilities at the moment. Studying and being prepared will lessen the chance of failing and will probably be a better alternative to fretting, stressing and burdening yourself with not doing what you know needs doing. It's easier in the long run for alot of reasons (not the least of which is what you owe to yourself and know you are capable of) to get it done while the opportunity presents itself rather than not, IMO.
Good Luck
