Phillipa is right, to the extent the studies can be "sure." It's not an exact thing quite yet, but really interesting. Grape juice is "probably" the same and so, so sweet and delicious. Buy true concord grape, not white though (I love the white.) The Mayo Clinic says this:

I don't care for that variety of wine either, (although I love several types of white wine) More importantly, there's something to be said, I think, for relaxing, savoring and truly enjoying food and drink. I think we were meant to nourish our amazing bodies AND enjoy doing that. So if you hate the taste, why drink it? Food doesn't have to be unpleasant medicine.
Another thought - what if, one day, they discover the brain activity as you anticipate drinking something you detest every day - the accompanying stress, tension - triggers release of certain substances, and Those Cancel Out the benefits of the wine? That would s**k! Just an interesting thought - to me ;-)
I think it's great you are researching and looking for healthy ways of eating while you are young. It's a wise thing to do and an example for others.
