Let me tell you what's happening outside at 6 in the morning as it's just getting light.

are just starting to make a racket in the trees, and there's a light breeze in the palms. It reminds me of Eliot's

except it isn't hot. This is the warmest winter that has just followed the coolest summer in 50 years. The weather is strange, but at least it has stopped raining.
