Phillipa,
You wrote,[...if anyone...when they think it might get better...]
The view from my desk is that I think that the housing market will get better after two more years with a turn around in 2010. I think that because of factors that are complex and I could explain them here if one would like for me to do that. This involves the FED, the banks, oil and commodity and health related prices, the election, interest rates, unemployment rates, GDP, PPI, the wars in the middle east and other factors such as the automotive and health-care industries. There are great paralles in the world political and economic environments now with those durring 1922-1942 so that a discussion with me here could bring those into the discussion. In particular, but not limited to, the aspect of the world-wide drug manufacturers and psychiatrists/psychologists and how real estate is connected to this in a world-wide market, for real estate is experiancing what we have here in some European countries also so that this is a world-wide issue, not just in the U.S. I can connect all of this together. This may have the potential IMO to bring into the discussion aspects that could be unbeknownst to some that could be of the nature that could be shocking to some here because of that psychotropic drugs and psychiatry and psychology are what could bring members to this forum and thearfore I am declaring this in advance as a trigger warning and would like discussants to be aware that I have a huge body of knowlege concerning the question at hand here and may just be the most knowlegable member here to provide this infomation to those intereted.
