Isn't it something else!
Some years ago (maybe 9) when I first started going for my alone week, there were hardly ANY other campers in the area I go to. There are different camp areas...mine's called "Georgian". Anyway, the first year there was NOBODY else in my area!! It was slightly unnerving at first, but I met a woman in a washroom between Georgian & Harold Piont areas & learned that she was within hearing distance if I screamed!! LOL
Anyway, over the last 2 years, there've been more people each year. And THIS year, the park has only 2 of the camping areas open up 'til the end of June, so it means that everyone who was scattered through maybe 4 camping areas over the last years is in the 2, so the 2 are FULL!!! :-((
I'm pissed off about it. I loved that feeling of it not being 'full'.But there are still WAY fewer people than there are once school is out for the summer & there are so many different places in the park where one can go, that once away from the campground itself, it'll not be crowded. They probably changed the situation to cut back on staffing costs, as they'll have fewer washrooms to maintain if there are only 2 campgrounds open as opposed to more.
I know I'm lucky & I really appreciate it.
