That's awesome! As shy and anxious as I can be, I've done that a couple of times before too, and I was always glad I did (even though I was sure I would have a heart attack right at first!). Of course you should always be safe, don't put yourself in a scary situation. Trust your instincts, never take an open drink from people you don't know REALLY well, and let someone know if you're headed off somewhere by yourself so you can check in at a specified time. Its not that difficult these days with cell phones and text messaging. You can never be too safe!!
