I didn't know the dept of labor helped people find jobs (this is in the US right?)
But anyway, if you feel uncomfortable about him try to find a job on your own (classifieds, private job agency, etc).
Or option two, you could just not worry about the crush and work with the dept agency guy. When I find someone I really like, I usually develop crushes very quickly. But I've been let down so many times I trained myself to not take these crushes so seriously. I hate holding back feelings, but sometimes it makes life easier.
