IMO, I think of fragrances as being things that do have a shelf life. Most are composed of some biological materials - like plants and such -mixed with alcohol, deionized water, oils, etc... over time, all of this can degrade and change into something different from it's original. And, it could potentially "grow" something.... REAL perfume is quite concentrated and more of the fragrance essences but I don't think it lasts forever.

Fragrance containers can be valuable and maybe there are some who do collect old perfumes but I personally would not trust it as wearable.
