I'm afraid not.
If someone offers something of value to you (love, friendship, etc), allowing it to add to the happiness you already give yourself, that's great, and a big plus.
But I wouldn't recommend living each day with your only source of happiness coming from others. I learned that the hard way. =( Right now, I can honestly say I'm not self supporting in terms of happiness. Luckily, I have a friend who cares about me and gives me enough happiness and love. But if our friendship faded away (and it already has a bit), I would have nothing. I don't recommend others living like this.
Every time I rely on others for something, I get burnt. I've learned not to rely on others. I'm not saying I'm 100% self supporting yet, but I'm moreso than many because of this lesson I've learned. I know the "movie-happy ending/storybook" version of life says you can rely on others, but in reality it's not like that.
