So true, and they're goign to start charging for trash soon by the sounds of it (to increase recycling). The council maintain parks and public buildings, sweep the streets, issue parking tickets, deal with planning permission etc - good and bad I guess, but we pay massess for it

Or a little dog, jack russels seem to do the trick with rats!
