Yes indeed. I bought my first VCR because school inconveniently got in the way of my watching.
I can't recall whether I liked the initial summer on the run from Frank Smith or the incredibly silly Ice Princess story better.
I have this vague memory of taking a totally impossible final exam, thinking I'd never figure out the twisted questions and just answering every question with my first guess so I could race home and see General Hospital after only half the exam time passed. (And getting the only "A" in the class. Apparently thinking about the questions just messed you up.)
I've still got part of the Ice Princess caper on fuzzy, out of synch, tape. It's one of my prized possessions. lol.
That was such a happy time in my life that watching it can make me happy almost automatically.
