I'm cooking

My family is far and my mom had had enough travelling this year (that's what she said, really!). My husband's grown kids and his parents gather with us.
This year we are getting together Friday instead of Thursday, and we'll celebrate hubby's birthday too.
I try to do as much cooking ahead as I can so I'm not exhausted by the time we eat. So far, I have bought the roast (lamb this year), made a cheesecake (I think I mentioned it somewhere else), made a kugel, and an acorn squash/maple sausage side dish. At this time of year I love to cook my best :-)
