Absalom and Achitophel, a poem by John Dryden, who was born a few years after Shakespeare died. It is said that the line was actually a jab at one of his rivals, and was intended to suggest that his rival had stepped over that boundary.
Personally, I like to think that I've blurred that line as much as possilbe.
