Sleeping mats are essential!!!!!
The thing is, even if the *air* temperture is 13ºC (which isn't that warm in the elements, particulary if there is a breeze and you're just sat about, ie not moving) the actual ground temperature will be alot cooler than 13ºC. And when you're lying on the ground all night, thats alot of body heat being lost through the ground. Sleeping mats really make a big difference!! Plus never trust forecasts, always be prepared for any type of weather, particulary bad weather.
I mean, granted, you're not exactly off to do any serious hill-walking/wild camping, but still you're very right to bring extra blankets etc.
Are you Canadian Deneb - you use ºC rather than F? I personally can't use F.
Kind regards
Meri
