You know it's been hot when the temp reads 80 (27C) & you think - Oh jeez - that's not too bad!! (and if I step outside it feels delightfully cooler!!) It just rained & that seems to have gotten rid of the heat somewhat. Now it's hotter inside my house & I have 3 fans pulling the outside air IN. If I was feeling at all self-righteous for not having an air conditioner (which I wasn't anyway) - but if I was, the fact that I had 4 fans blasting last night cancels any conservation I might have been engaging in!*****My folks have central a/c, and we live in a big house, so my room is way up on the second floor, and I *also* have a window a/c. Gawwdd...I am the always talking about being pro-environment, global warming, etc...and here I am blowing the atmosphere up with air conditioners!..lol.
*******LOL Oh well; maybe you are a 'good environmentalist in OTHER areas*********Oh ya, and just read Al Gore's new book, "An Inconvenient Truth" which is very good as well.I'd like to see his movie. Then again, I'd like to see the current Prez...ohh...better not say...will get blocked for sure..lol.
*********I'd join a thread on NOT being impressed with one's country's 'leader'. I'm not at ALL impressed with our current Prime Minister.....scared stiff of the direction he's going is more like it! I'd get blocked too if I spouted off about him! I hope it's cooler down your way also! Kath*****
