I am a senior in the Communication design program.
I will graduate in the spring - and i am terrified.
I've been a student since age 17 (i am now 23). I don't know anything else really...and i am absolutely terrified of being in the "real world". I haven't had many jobs, because of my emotional probs, but I'm gonna have to suck it up if I want a job in this competitive field!
Not only am i graduating and getting a job, I will also be moving out of my moms house for the first time, and supporting myself for the first time....yikes. I also have about 10,000 in school loans to pay off as soon as i graduate.
But - i absolutely love what i do. Can't say I'm the best designer, but I am adequate, or I would have been rejected at my first portfolio review (and not been accepted into the program).
And yes, I am a mac girl. Once you go mac, you never go back....lololol. Once I learned how to use a mac, I started thinking PC's were so much more confusing and not as logical (no offense to PC users, I just really love my mac). This year I was required to buy a mac laptop (new rules of the design program), and we are now inseperable...lol.
I've got a cute little white ibook g4, and i would be lost without it!
We need to start a club for girls who like macs....hehee
