Corafree I think you read the directions wrong. It's only the night before that you cant eat or drink after midnight. Since I don't take narcotics I took all my med antidepressant, synthroid, valium up until the morning of the proceedure. I think there's some miscommunication. Yes call your doc and the nurse will go over the instuctions with you. Love Phillipa
