For some reason I like L names for little girl puppies.
Lyssa
Lila
Lily
Layla
LolaBut I also love the old fashioned girls names. Molly, Kate, Maggie, Mathilda, Tess
I've always wanted to name a flower name. Marigold, Buttercup, Daisy
I've found the best names come to me after I get to know them a bit. I pick out perfect names for them, then after I get to know them they just don't fit and they practically name themselves.
And, since I have a terrible habit (inherited from Daddy) of coming up with a multitude of nicknames, it's very important that they have names that lend themselves well to that - for me anyway. I won't even go into the call names that have resulted from names that don't lend themselves well to nicknames. :(
(BTW, the best all time ever name I had for a dog was Robin. That name was absolutely perfect for adding inflection. I rarely had to add any command to the name. By the way I said it she knew if I wanted to coax her over, or have her drop whatever she was holding, or come have a rough house play. And the permutations of the name were adorable so the nicknames were great.)
