What a rewarding experience that must have been.
I wish that "elders" were respected more. I live in Ontario, Canada, & just generally, it seems that YOUTH is worshipped. I like the respect that older people are given (or it's my impression anyway that it's this way) in Oriental societies & also Native American societies.

I love old folks. They are so cute, they don't take nice things for granted. They might not hear as well, or see as well, but their hearts are bigger and they're not afraid to tell you that they appreciate you.
