This is one of those times where you want to ask "Why does such awful stuff happen in the world?" I wish that I knew. This is so tragic and I'm sorry that it has touched your life so profoundly.
Although it is hard to believe right now, someday it won't hurt as much as it does at this moment. The pain won't go away, but it will lessen. Give yourself time and space.
