hmm. this is Damasio (neurologist)
he thinks 'Descartes' Error' is the notion that emotions are apart from body / brain states (aka he doesn't like Descartes dualism)that was just his thought on intuition...

hmm. were the 'mentally challenged folk' always 'mentally challenged' or was it acquired (ie via degeneration or injury)?

yup. i guess some intuition just doesn't work that way
