I agree. Gosh, did my posts suggest that I was trying to make men feel guilty about looking at nude women? I certainly didn’t intend to imply that. For one thing, I enjoy looking at nude women too.

My central point is that I would prefer to live in a world with better, nicer porn. I’d like porn to be more varied. I’d like the sex industry to be less dangerous to women. I don’t believe there is anything wrong with looking at nude women, but I also don’t believe that porn exists in a political vacuum. I don’t think guilt would be useful or appropriate or necessary, but I do think that our sexual culture is something we are collectively responsible for. And to be honest, that throws a lot of responsibility onto the shoulders of women, even if they don’t consume porn. But that’s a whole new rant…
