Hi JaclinHyde,

A doorway on an inside wall is a good place, so if the closet is on an inside wall, I think it'll be safe.

I live in a Tornado area (fortunately have a basement)but they rarely touch down within 20 miles of here. Just lots of high winds that knock tree branches down.

The one time a tornado was close by, I heard the siren go off and as always ignored it. I was ripping tile off the bathroom wall and took a bag of it out to the garbage can. Came in and told my husband that it's really windy out there. It wasn't until I saw the paper the next morning that I found out that wind was strong for a reason.
