Wow. I almost never change doctors. Some of them I wasn't even crazy about, but I would have probably never bothered changing. The opthalmologist was wonderful. I've been going to him for twenty years, I'll bet. I suppose I'd have lost him soon anyway. I don't know how I'll replace him.
The headache neurologist was fairly recent, but I adored her. If she was a therapist, I'd leave my therapist for her. She reminded me of a therapist in a lot of ways. She got my headaches under control, so I probably don't need her anymore. My new internist can take over my meds.
The internist and gynecologist probably weren't huge losses. I've already replaced them.
My big problem is with medications. I'm on a plethora of them, and it's a bit hard to explain to new doctors. Then there was this huge mixup with my internist that ended up with my doubling up on prescriptions. She probably thinks I'm drug seeking.
