Hey alexandra-k, good to hear from you. I have to make shelf size considerations too. I collect paperback originals along with hardback first editions, then oversized reference books and some shelves just won't do what I need. I know you've been busy elsewhere, and saw you on med board but didn't have anything to contribute. But glad you're around.Dinah, I didn't expect someone would be more organized than me. That is a facinating system. Does it drive your hubby mad? I haven't had a computer at home before, so I do everything on notecards and spirals. I'm still running broadband on windows 98 laptop, so everything is pared down for optimal surfing, but when I get a real computer, I'll go whole hog with it.
I started this thread at phillipa's request, but I've been wanting to talk about it for a while. Nobody can really know me until they are aware of the sheer quanity of stuff I accumulate and study.
