About Hammie *trigger*

I keep thinking that maybe Hammie wasn't dead when I buried him. I think that maybe Hammie is out there somewhere, scampering about. I just can't fully accept that Hammie is dead. Is this normal for me to feel?

Rationally I know that Hammie died, but then I still think maybe he wasn't really dead.
