I'd never heard of 2 nights for trick or treat either until we moved here. They actually do post the schedules in the paper. The town next to us is having theirs Sat and Mon 4:30-7 pm. I don't think those days are any better, but I would like the earlier hours.
We stay home and hand out candy one of the 2 nights. The kids actually have more fun doing that than going out themselves.
The whole 2 night thing kind of creeps me out-- why not 2 Chistmases or 2 Easters? In fact, why don't we have 3 Saturdays every weekend? LOL!
There is a small town N of here that has their 4th of July on the 3rd. I guess to attract more people to their festival, etc. But I always thought it strange.
My husband would like to have Christmas a couple of days late to save money, but that's a whole other rant I'll spare you from. ;~}
I did try to keep the pumkins in the house as long as I could stand it. But that rotten pumpkin scent is nothing like a pumpkin candle...
Thank goodness a teacher moved in next door. The kids are so busy tp-ing her house we haven't been hit. But I'm sure we will be.
