I would think it's different from person to person, but I think some people can learn to recognize delusions. I'd imagine it's a lot harder than learning to recognize the 'voice' of depression or addiction.
Wasn't that the point of the Russell Crowe movie about the mathematician (can't remember the name right now), that he learned to recognize the delusions?
