In reply to Does Money Make You Happy or At Least Having Enoug, posted by Phillipa on August 19, 2005, at 20:04:10
> To me this is a very important question. I used to not worry about money at all when I was working but since I've been on Disability I feel I have no power and that was always important to me. My husband doesn't have a full time job either as he quit. And one other factor I'm getting old and it makes everything more serious to me. So what do you think . If you're very young you have a future to look forward to or parents who support you. Thanks, Fondly, Phillipa
>I'm curious to hear what people say. I'm young and definitely have a future to look forward to. Unfortunately, I don't have parents who are at all financially supportive and actually kicked me out to the curb to live in my car for a year.
I just don't want to sacrifice too much if the rewards having money gives you are not at least equal to what I'm sacrificing. I understand that money does not equal happiness, but there is plenty of evidence that shows lacking money causes all sorts of problems too. I'm just starting a career (next week!), so I've got decisions to make as to how much I want to work and sacrifice to climb that lovely corporate ladder.
I hope a lot of people respond to this thread with their opinions. :-)
